   The hotel itself is just ok. It’s clear there is work being done but it has been stalled. The time to get served for a simple drink or food is horrendous. The worse part of my experience was the golf course which is seriously lacking TLC. How people pay membership for this below parr course is beyond me (the golf course is why I booked this trip) please invest properly so travelling golfers get the experience promised. Cruffy course nettles and weeds over grown, disgrace for a so called country retreat/ championship course. Joke!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS.. a pitch and putt would be a better option!

   Driving range review:

We came here on a afternoon to hit some balls. As novices we needed to hire clubs, however the ones they provided weren't great. Fair enough it's probably a range for actual golfers but we couldn't even get a driver. I think if you had a few sets of clubs you'd please a wider audience of customers. I would also recommend having some closer markers for the less able players.

However the games you can play are fun. Good to see your stats and scores etc on the screen.

   What a fabulous little hotel. Immaculate room with very comfortable bed and pillows. Great shower pressure.
We ate at the restaurant and will recommend the Blue Elephant chicken curry.
All staff were so polite and professional.
We ate on the terrace overlooking the lake. Highly recommend and we're sure to be back again.

   So impressed with the friendly welcome, spotlessly clean room, modern bathroom and clubhouse.   The bar terrace and view over the lake exceptional.   One not to miss!
