The Kingfisher Hotel, Golf and Country Club sees a major and exciting £2 million redevelopment project newly opened 2020. Set within 100 acres of stunning Buckinghamshire countryside, Kingfisher is a unique and stylish individual Boutique Hotel, Golf and Country Club boasting a magnificent golf course with a cutting-edge driving range, a state of the art leisure centre, a gym, spa facilities and beauty rooms.
Kingfisher Golf and Country Club are currently looking for an energetic and motivated Restaurant Supervisor with an upbeat personality to assist running our Breakfast, Restaurant, Bar and Conference and Banqueting operation. As the Supervisor, you will collaborate and work closely with the members of the staff, leading from the front and contributing your ideas and invaluable expertise. With the dynamic nature of the industry the role is working shift patterns including weekends, so flexibility is key.
Key Responsibilities include
· Support the team in the daily running of the operation ensuring all standards are met, communicating and delegate tasks to the team
· Welcoming guests during Breakfast and Dinner service including completing a thorough Meet and Greet for all Conference bookings, going through Function sheets and confirming details
· Working closely with the department heads to continuously improve service standards
· Building customer relationships, exceeding expectations and ensuring repeat business
· Taking ownership of the floor operations and being the driving force of the team, leading from the front
· Develop and foster a motivated and high performing team committed to delivering an exceptional service
· Develop a positive, direct and transparent working relationship with all colleagues
· Admin duties may include scheduling staff rotas, stock take, financial administration
· Very familiar with Food Safety Legislation, maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene and health and safety
· Checking of stock levels, order supplies and prepare cash drawers and petty cash
· Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
· To ensure that all stores are in order and tidied on a regular basis and in line with the cleaning schedule
· Set up of function rooms for Conferencing and Social Events as required
· Personal charm to greet organisers, hosts and VIPs and to show clients you are giving them full attention
· ensuring the smooth and efficient running of weddings and events at the hotel, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
· Strong organisation to capture and implement any guest special requests
· Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance issues and follow-up
· Be environmentally aware
· Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
· Excellent communication skills
· Genuinely, friendly and natural personality. Able to create positive working relations with all team members
· Continually look for ways to improve the service and offering, keeping abreast of trends and log customer feedback
· Assist with annual and mid-year appraisals with team members under your responsibility
· Conduct Duty Manager shifts as required
These duties are not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and you may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as may be reasonably required and instructed by Senior Management.
To be successful
· Previous experience as a Food and Beverage Supervisor in a 4* Hotel environment.
· Previous hands-on, operational experience at similar level in a busy conference and events based environment
· Posses a great understanding of PCI standards
· Food Safety Level 2 (minimum)
· Flexibility to work on a rota basis across 7 days a week, including late finishes past midnight as required
· Ability to think on your feet
· Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards customer service
· Proven experience working in a 4* Hotel is an advantage
There are currently no public transport links to the location of Kingfisher Hotel and therefore a drivers license is required.
