HR MANAGER, HOTEL

Kingfisher Hotel, Golf and Country Club is nestled in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside. The site was founded in the 20th century and sees an exciting £2 million refurbishment to the hotel, clubhouse, golf course, gymnasium and banqueting facilities opening October 2020.

Job brief

We are looking for a Hotel HR Manager to oversee all staff-related procedures and craft HR strategies in alignment with our business needs.

Hotel HR Manager responsibilities will include recruiting and training new hires, managing employee data and taking steps to retain our people. To be successful in this role, you will have a good knowledge of legislation and relevant experience acting as HR Manager at a hotel.

Ultimately, you will help us run a healthy hotel business where our employees are happy, engaged and productive.

 

Responsibilities

· Design hiring plans for all hotel departments based on seasonal needs

· Interview and assess job candidates

· Manage compensation and benefits plans

· Oversee employee attendance and working schedules, including paid time off, overtime and breaks

· Onboard new hires

· Organise employee records

· Coordinate accommodation, catering and transport for our staff when necessary

· Act as the point of contact when employees have queries or job-related issues

· Ensure hotel staff complies with relevant health and safety regulations

· Respond to questions, requests, and concerns from employees and management regarding company and Human Resources programs, policies and guidelines.

· Ensure posting all necessary legal or regulatory notices related to Human Resources in view of all employees as required by law

· Ensure compliance with employment law, government agencies, and company policies and procedures (e.g. Occupational Safety and Health Act, Equal Employment Opportunity, Wage and Hour, Affirmative Action, employee records administration, etc.).

· Conduct annual HR compliance/standards self-audit

· Communicate all company and hotel policies and procedures

· Facilitate effective training and development programs for employees

· Ensure that all managers and supervisors are trained on the progressive discipline process, performance management process

· Conduct new employee orientation to familiarise employees with Company standards, policies, procedures, rules and other employee programs.

 

Requirements

· Work experience as an HR Manager, preferably in the hospitality industry

· Hands-on experience with payroll software

· Strong understanding of employment law

· Excellent communication skills

· CIPD qualified

Job brief

We are looking for a Full time Housekeeper to join our team, looking after the rooms and the general upkeep of the premises is extremely important, as it will determine the quality of the guests’ experience. You will have exceptional attention to detail and truly understand the importance of cleanliness to our guests’ experience.

Responsibilities

·         Cleaning and preparing guest bedrooms and public areas, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel

·         Working thoroughly but also quickly and efficiently to meet the daily guest check in deadline

·         report any malfunctioning equipment as well as guests’ lost property and any missing items from the rooms whilst following all the hotel’s procedures

·         Working well as part of a team


Applicants must:

·         Be energetic, hard working, reliable and flexible

·         Be able to work weekends

·         Be fit and in good health, this is a physically demanding role

·         Have relevant experience, ideally in a similar environment

We offer a competitive hourly rate and a great working environment. The hours of work (which will include weekends) are 40 hours a week over 5 days.
