Set within 100 acres of stunning Buckinghamshire countryside, Kingfisher is a unique and stylish individual Boutique Hotel, Golf and Country Club boasting a magnificent a golf course with a cutting edge driving range, a state of the art leisure centre, a gym, spa facilities and beauty rooms.

We are looking for enthusiastic 4-star Kitchen chefs with a strong work ethic and high standards to produce quality food within Kingfisher Hotels Restaurant, Lounge and Function Rooms. Using fresh and locally sourced ingredients, Kingfisher Country Club will only deliver the best and ultimately, you will consistently deliver the highest level of culinary and food service production to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead kitchen team in chefs absence and support the head chef in developing, setting and tracking event budgets, establishing profitability goals.
  2. Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members, but not limited to line cooking, food preparation and dish plating
  3. Oversee and organises kitchen stock and ingredients
  4. Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organised for quality assurance
  5. Keep cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours
  6. Hire and train new kitchen employees to hotel standards
  7. Manage food and product ordering by keeping details records and minimised waste, plus works with existing systems to improved waste reduction and manage budgetary concerns
  8. Supervise all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards
  9. Work with the head chef to maintain kitchen, following our Head Chef’s specifications and guidelines.
  10. The successful candidate will employ its culinary and managerial skills ensuring that the highest quality, hygiene and service standards are met and maintained at all times in line with our guests’ expectations.
  11. Verify that all food storage units meet standards and are consistently well-managed
  12. Assists head chef with seasonal menu changes
  13. Coordinate with restaurant management team on supply ordering, budget and kitchen efficiency and staffing
  14. Fill in for the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary

Requirements

  1. 3+ years of culinary experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant

Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate would have good knowledge of current food trends, strong organisation and training skills, proven track record of delivering on GP & KPI targets without compromise to quality and required standards.

You should be able to demonstrate knowledge of Health & Safety requirements. Food safety level 3 is desirable as is a strong knowledge of restaurant regulations.

Formal culinary training, previous restaurant experience, extensive food and beverage knowledge are all required. About yourself:

 

The ideal candidate would have an enthusiastic personality and passionate about golf but also developing good relationships with new & existing guests, clients & commercial partners.

 

Whilst a university degree is a plus, relevant PGA/ EGTF teaching qualifications as well as relevant experience (particularly in hospitality and or golf) is a must.

 

You should have:

Key Responsibilities & Duties in brief:

 

The Driving Range Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the GOLF X venue as well as the following:

 

·      Monitor, control and manage business operations to meet customer expectations and wider business strategy & objectives.

·      Liaise between GOLF X team & senior management to ensure smooth operations and communication.

·      Ensure compliance with wider business standards and procedures.

·      Build and maintain strong relationships with senior management and GOLF X staff through regular meetings and communications.

·      Evaluate current operational performance of GOLF X and suggest strategic plans for improvements where needed.

·      Communicating with upper management in order to assist in developing strategic operational goals for GOLF X & GOLF X staff.

·      Provide direction and guidance to GOLF X staff to achieve performance targets.

·      Identify problems in any GOLF X operational processes and resolve them in quickly and timely manner.

·      Build a standard operating procedure manual for efficient GOLF X operations.

·      Monitoring performance metrics of GOLF X and providing reports to GOLF X senior management.

·       Being the first point of contact for staff (& guests) ensuring the team is productive at all times & the operation is running as per SOP manual & senior management directives.

·       Ensuring daily operational standards & targets are met, overseeing & ensuring team harmony and ensuring that all tasks are carried out in line with SOP manual & operation strategy.

·       Reviewing standards regularly and conducting activities to ensure the continual development of all members of staff. This will include monitoring of performance, coaching, training & recruiting where necessary.

·       Regularly reviewing and identifying opportunities for improvement including overall efficiency, revenue optimisation and working practices.

·       As a general rule: to drive revenue, incremental spend & identify new revenue opportunities for the business &  operation.

·       Drive & maintain spend/ value of current customers via Loyalty Card scheme.

 

Other Responsibilities & Tasks:

 

·      Where required, assist Director of Golf X & GM of KHGCC in managing operations across the wider KHGCC site.

·      Assist the Director of Golf X & GM of KHGCC in managing third parties such as marketing consultant, suppliers etc.

·      Assist Sales & Marketing in all or any marketing activities including but not limited to building guest database(s).

·      Assist Director of Golf X & GM of KHGCC in all or any activities when reasonably required to do so.

 

Further Responsibilities

Please note that you are also responsible & accountable for the performance of GOLF X indirect reports even though you do not directly manage them.

Kingfisher Golf and Country Club are currently searching for skilled and friendly waiters and waitresses for our onsite restaurant. As a waiter/waitress, you will play a big role in creating and providing the best customer experience and satisfaction. This is a great time to be joining the team as we continue to grow in popularity and demand at a rapid speed. As part of your duties, you may be required from time to time to partake in covering the bar during your shift.

Minimum of 2 years experience as waiter / waitress, in a rosette or above restaurant / Hotel is mandatory for this role.

Key Responsibilities include

HOTEL RECEPTIONIST

Reporting to the Reception Manager, we are looking for Receptionists to join our wonderful team  to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation.
